LYNNFIELD — The 60th Lynnfield High School commencement ceremony for the Class of 2019 will be held on Friday, May 31, beginning at 6 p.m. at Pioneer Stadium. 

The Class of 2019 is hoping for clear blue skies as students celebrate the end of their high school careers. In the event of inclement weather, graduation will be held in the high school gym. 

The High School Concert Band, under the direction of first-year Band Director Harry Wagg, will perform traditional music. The Chamber Singers will perform the “national anthem” under the direction of LHS Choral Director Doug Hodgkins. 

Student Council President Barbara Dickey will be giving the Welcome Address, and High School Principal Bob Cleary will give opening remarks. Zoe Chen will give the Valedictory Address. Senior Class President Emily Dickey and Superintendent Jane Tremblay will also speak.

The senior class gift will be presented by Emily Dickey to Class of 2020 President Megan Battaglia.

The LHS Concert Band and Concert Choir will perform a cover of the Bill Withers classic “Lean on Me.”

After the musical performance concludes, School Committee Chairman Jamie Hayman will present the graduates their diplomas.

Cleary will provide closing remarks at the end of the ceremony.
