UPDATE: Boys’ XC dealt first loss of season to Hamilton-Wenham following victory over Georgetown

Lynnfield falls to Hamilton-Wenham 43-17 (Oct. 9)

LYNNFIELD — The LHS boys’ cross country team improved to 4-0 on the season with a 16-47 victory over Georgetown on Oct. 2 at Lynnfield High.

The Pioneers were led by senior captain Shea McCarthy who finished with another PR on the home course of 16:09 for 1^st overall.

He was followed by junior captain Dylan Nguyen (16:56, 2^nd overall) who also had a PR.

Junior Nick DeGennaro was 3^rd overall with a time of 17:51, also a PR.

Taking 4^th overall was senior captain Ashkrit Mahajan who had a PR of 18:11.

Sophomore Ritvik Mahajan was 6^th overall in 18:38.

The undefeated Pioneers will get ready to face another undefeated team as Hamilton-Wenham comes to town on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. for Lynnfield’s Senior Day. The winner will be the Cape Ann League champion.
