LYNNFIELD — The inaugural “See The Good 5K Walk” will take place on Sunday, Sept. 10, beginning at 9:30 a.m. on the Town Common.
The walk will honor the life and legacy of the late Sharla Sieve. Sharla was a dedicated mother of five children, a friend to many and an alumna of Lynnfield Public Schools. She taught at Lynnfield Middle School, and the former Lynnfield High girls’ tennis star went on to coach the boys’ tennis team.
Sharla passed away from a battle with colon cancer in December 2022. Her five children, Alex, Ben, Maddie, Olivia and Mitchell, decided to hold a walk in her memory because walking was one of her passions.
Proceeds from the “See The Good 5K Walk” will go towards supporting various initiatives Sharla supported, including Lynnfield High School seniors, tennis-related town initiatives and funding for Massachusetts General Hospital’s Sharla Sieve Liver Pump Fund.
