A wonderful mother who enjoyed boating
WAKEFIELD Ann M. Payzant, 81, of Wakefield, died Tuesday, October 5 at the Sunrise Assisted Living in Lynnfield.

Born in Wakefield on January 15, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Eugene J. and Irene (Lazzaro) Sullivan.

Ann was a longtime Wakefield resident and was a former member of St. Joseph Parish. She had worked many years for the Wakefield School Department in administration. She and her late husband were avid boaters, and enjoyed spending time in the Ipswich area. Above all things, she loved her family and was a wonderful mother, grandmother and aunt.

She was the beloved wife of the late Peter W. Payzant. She was the loving mother of David Payzant and his wife, Karen Hanssen, of Watertown; and Nancy P. Walker and her husband, Timothy, of Boxford. She was the sister of Martha Philbrick and Eugene J. Sullivan Jr., both of Wakefield. She was the cherished grandmother of Henry and Peter.

Her funeral service was held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday, Oct 8. Visitation for relatives and friends was held prior to the service. Interment took place in Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
