U.S. Army veteran, avid pool player

LYNNFIELD — Paul J. Lenehan, 76, of Lynnfield, died on Saturday, January 19, 2019 in the Tufts Medical Center after a brief illness. He is the husband of Mrs. Beverly (Tilton) Lenehan. He was born in Brookline, the son of the late Joseph P. “Red” and Gloria B. (Worster) Lenehan. He was raised in Lynn and Nahant, and was a graduate of Lynn English High School. He has lived in Lynnfield the past 32 years.

He was an Army veteran and served in Europe. He was an avid pool player. On Wednesday nights, he could be found with his friends Doug Erickson and the late Bob Bozarjian, playing pool. Paul was a long-time New York Giants football fan. He enjoyed trips to North Conway and the casino in Oxford, Maine. His Friday nights were spent having dinner at the former Bali Hai. He was employed as a Contract Administrator. For many years he worked at the General Electric Company. He also worked for Computervision and Riso.

In addition to his wife with whom he shared 50 years of marriage, he leaves a daughter, Deborah A. Leonard of Merrimack, N.H. and her partner Michael McGillen; his son, David J. Lenehan and his partner Sherri Balal of Salem, Mass.; two grandchildren Sara L. and Paul D. Leonard. He leaves his brother Robert W. Lenehan of Margate, Fla.; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Barbara Nabozny, a nephew Eric Nabozny, and a niece Lisa Rapisarda.

His funeral will be held on Thursday, January 24 at 11 a.m. in the Solimine Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Rt. 129), Lynn. Burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
