Pairings for D2N tournament announced on miaa.net

LYNNFIELD — The Pioneers spent their week challenging themselves against quality opponents to get ready for the Div. 2 North tournament.
While most teams finished up league play and rested for the postseason, the Pioneers played North Andover and Winchester at LHS.
North Andover escaped from Lynnfield in a five-set thriller, topping the Pioneers 15-9 in the final set.
The Scarlet Knights took the first two sets, but Lynnfield stormed back in the third set 25-21. Lynnfield took the fourth set as well, 25-22 to force the fifth set.

Captain Melissa Morelli paced the Pioneers with 18 kills. Mac Schena and Sam Lebruska also added 11 kills each.
Morelli added six aces and 16 assists.
Lebruska led the team with 21 digs and Sophia Wilkinson led the team with 21 assists.
Lynnfield beat Winchester 3-1 in their final regular season game.
Winchester took the first set 25-19, but the Pioneers won three in a row (25-21, 25-22, 25-22) to end their season on a high note and head into the playoffs with plenty of momentum.
Lynnfield finished tied with Masco for first place in the Cape Ann League.
The list of regular season stats leaders for the Pioneers was balanced and included four players (Kills: Morelli, 221; Total Blocks: Samantha DeGeorge, 73; Serving Aces: Morelli, 61; Digs: Lebruska, 140; Assists: Wilkinson, 315; Receptions: Lebruska, 154).
