Marcia-Rodgers-Obit-webDANVERS — Marcia M. Rodgers, 68, of Danvers, formerly of Andover and North Reading, died at her home on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016.

Born in Winchester, on Aug. 29, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Ernest H. and Alida A. (Fox) Rodgers. She was raised and attended school in North Reading and was a graduate of North Reading High School, Class of 1967.

Marcia was an assembly worker for Transitron in Wakefield and later for Lucent Technology in North Andover. She enjoyed the Telephone Pioneers of Western Electric, loved the New England Patriots, knitting and traveling to New Hampshire. Marcia especially enjoyed going to the Topsfield Fair.

Family members include her loving brother, Donald B. Rodgers and his wife Donna M. of Derry, N.H.; her late brother, Alan E. Rodgers and late sister, Diana J. Lavey; her sister–in–law, Betty Rodgers of North Reading and brother–in–law, Michael A. Lavey of Burlington. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Her funeral was held from the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow St., North Reading on Wednesday, Jan. 5 followed by a funeral Mass at St. Theresa Church, 63 Winter St., (Rt.62), North Reading.  Burial in Riverside Cemetery in North Reading.
