Margaret-Gerrior-Obit-webBROOKSVILLE, FL — Margaret Francis Gerrior (Marge), passed away unexpectedly in Brooksville, FL (formerly of North Reading), on April 22, 2016 at the age of 98.

Recently discovered genealogy documents support the possibility that Marge was actually 101 years old and a survivor of the Halifax, Nova Scotia explosion of 1917.

Everyone who met her loved her sparkling personality and zest for life. She was voracious reader of novels, exercised daily, and especially loved music and dancing. An accomplished seamstress, she would sew gifts and clothes for family friends. Marge was known for her handwritten notes and cards for every occasion and holiday. She will be fondly remembered for living a good, long and full life with a sense of humor that was as ageless as her outlook.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Angus Xavier Gerrior. Survived is by her sons, William and Karen Gerrior of Seattle, Washington, and Gerald and Patrice Gerrior of Middleton and her loving daughter Marianne and Paul Colburn of Brooksville, Florida; also by  eight grandchildren and 16 great–grandchildren.

A celebration of her life is planned for the summer.
