MELROSE — The Melrose Symphony will present the May Pops season finale on Saturday, May 4 at 8 p.m. at Memorial Hall, Melrose. Join us for a fun evening out and support your local symphony orchestra.

Violin virtuoso Irina Muresanu joins the orchestra for Sarasate’s exciting showpiece based on famous tunes from Bizet’s “Carmen” as well as John Williams’ stunningly beautiful “Schindler’s List.”

You’ll hear more music from John Williams including the “NBC Mission Theme” and “Star Wars.” Did you know May 4 is National Star Wars Day?  May the Fourth be with you.

To celebrate America’s favorite pastime, the MSO’s own Sean Going will narrate a special version of Ernest Thayer’s famous poem, “Casey at the Bat,” followed by Fenway Park’s most-beloved sing-along, “Sweet Caroline.”

One lucky ticket holder will receive four Red Sox vs. Rockies tickets for Wednesday, May 15.
