MELROSE — Deanne M. Clough, 84, of Melrose entered the presence of her Lord February 15, 2019. Born in Boston on July 24, 1934, she was the daughter of Harold MacDonald and Marion Elizabeth (Morgan) MacDonald.

Deanne grew up in Medford, became a lifelong resident of Melrose and relocated to Loudon, Tenn. in her later years. She was married to her husband, Bradford H. Clough (predeceased) for nearly 50 years.

Deanne was a lover of God, lover of family and lover of life. She trusted the Lord as her Savior at the age of 19, and served him faithfully throughout her life. She was the embodiment of the Proverbs 31 Virtuous Woman. “Her children rise up and call her blessed” – Proverbs 31:28. She especially loved teaching and tutoring children.

Deanne was a seasoned world traveler, visiting five continents and sailing the U.S. and British Virgin Islands. She took many of her grandchildren on destination vacations including Switzerland, Israel, Ireland, Japan, Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand, Greece, Turkey, the capitals of Europe, and the River Danube.

She was a gifted administrator, enjoying her work at Mass Housing as a Senior Loan Analyst and managing the lead paint program.

She leaves behind a daughter, Debra (Edward) Cullen of St. Croix, USVI, a son, B. Haydn Clough Jr. (Karen) of Danville, N.H., and a son, Morgan M. Clough (Lynn) of Tellico Plains, Tenn. Deanne leaves 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, a beloved sister, Jean Gylfphe, and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose, on Saturday, February 23 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m., officiated by Rev. William O’Dell. A graveside committal at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford will follow.
