A quiet and humble woman who cared deeply for her family

BEVERLY — Dorothy J. (Harry) Feyler, 85, a longtime resident of Lynnfield, passed away peacefully at Ledgewood Nursing and Rehabilitation in Beverly on Monday, November 29, 2021.

Dorothy was born in Everett on February 19, 1936, one of two children of the late Alexander D. Harry and Melinda (McDonald) Harry. She was raised in Everett where she graduated from Everett High School. On October 24, 1959 she was married to Kenneth L. Feyler and they settled in Lynnfield to raise a family of two children. She worked for many years as a customer service representative for New England Telephone.

Dorothy was dedicated to her family, especially her beloved husband, Ken. She took great care of her family, all while maintaining a smile and her great sense of humor. In retirement, she enjoyed many trips traveling to the Caribbean with Ken to relax on a warm beach. Later in life, she found comfort in lunch dates with her friends. Dorothy was a quiet, humble person who cared deeply for her family. She will be missed, but always lovingly remembered.

Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth L. Feyler, Jr. Devoted mother of Ellen Gill of Dayton, OH, and Peter Feyler of Santa Monica, CA. Loving grandmother of Alexander and Thomas Gill. Dear sister of the late Alexander D. Harry, Jr. and his surviving wife, Maryann Morris, of North Kingstown, RI, and brother-in-law of the late Bobby Feyler and his surviving wife, Diane, of Tewksbury. Caring aunt of David (Kerry) Feyler of Wilmington, Susan Sugrue of Keller, TX and Kerry (Mark) Stafford of Middleton. She is also survived by several great nephews and a great niece.
