MELROSE — James B. Emerson, 73, a longtime resident of Melrose, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, August 21, 2019.
James was born on August 5, 1946 in Boston, one of five children of the late Annette (Bryant) and Charles P. Emerson. Jim was raised in Wellesley where he graduated from Wellesley High School and attended Marlboro College in Vermont.
In his free time, Jim loved the arts, museums, and music. He had a great love and appreciation for classical music.
Jim was the loving brother of Charles P. Emerson, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth of Lyndon, Vt., Robert Emerson and his wife Kathleen of LaFayette, N.Y., Annettte Emerson of R.I., and Janet Emerson of Mass. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
