MARBLEHEAD — Janet L. Terlizzi, 77, of Marblehead and formerly of Beacon Hill and Melrose, passed away peacefully at the Devereux House in Marblehead on Saturday, May 2, 2020.

Janet was born on February 9, 1943 in Melrose, one of three children of the late James V. Terlizzi and Emily G. (Ritchie) Terlizzi. Raised in Melrose, she graduated from Melrose High School before moving to Boston. While residing in Beacon Hill for over 35 years, Janet worked as a paralegal at the law firm, Hale & Dorr.

Janet loved to travel. She experienced the world while spending time on nearly every continent, most of the time by herself. She visited Armenia, Russia, Africa, and many places in between. In her free time, Janet very much enjoyed taking courses offered through the Harvard Extension School.

Janet appreciated peace and quiet, and was a frequent visitor of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. She also enjoyed playing tennis with her friends and neighbors on the Boston Common Tennis Club. She will be deeply missed.

Janet was the dear sister of James V. Terlizzi Jr. and his wife Marianne of Marblehead, and George M. Terlizzi and his wife Susan of S.C. Also survived by four nephews, and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
