NEWTON, N.H. — Kenneth Forbes, 58, of Newton, New Hampshire passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 13, 2018.

Born in Malden on November 28, 1959, Ken was one of four sons. He was raised in Andover where he graduated from Andover High School. A hard working man, Ken was employed as a truck driver for Lily Corp. for many years.

Ken enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved a classic Thanksgiving dinner, and enjoyed music especially rock and roll or heavy metal. A car enthusiast, he had a passion for automobiles, and more recently became a fan of the New England Patriots.

Most of all, Ken was the kind of guy you could always count on. He would do anything for family and was always willing to lend a hand. He will be deeply missed.

Ken was the beloved son of Russell Forbes of Chelmsford, the late Patricia (Woods) Forbes Halligan, and stepson of James Halligan of Melrose. Dear father of Jonathan Forbes and his wife Elizabeth of West Lebanon, Maine. Cherished brother of Gary Forbes and his wife Jacqueline of Methuen, Ronald Forbes of Melrose, Dana Forbes and his wife Colleen of Reading, and stepbrother of Faith Halligan and Daniel Halligan, both of Stoneham. Also survived by his grandchildren Owen, Wesley, Ami and Emma.

Relatives and friends gathered in honor and remembrance of Ken’s life during visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Friday, November 16 and again for his funeral service celebrated on Saturday.
