MELROSE — Marguerite T. (Conti) Lepore, 95, of Melrose, died at the Oosterman’s Rest Home in Melrose on Oct. 28, 2018.

Marguerite was born in Boston, raised in Everett and a graduate of Everett High School. She resided in Melrose since 1957 and was an avid reader, exquisite needlepoint artist, talented seamstress, perfectionist cook and an innovative baker. Marguerite was an enthusiastic gardener, always had high energy and was never seen without perfect makeup and hair. She loved to get dressed to the nines and go dancing at the Saugus V.F.W. She was a very generous person always giving to many many charities throughout her life and enjoyed traveling to Niagara Falls, Canada and Italy. Marguerite’s family was the most important part of her life.

She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Lepore for 52 years. Loving mother of Diane M. Lawson and her late husband Charles of Beverly, Robert A. Lepore and Cathy Cahill of Miami, Fla. and Elaine M. Conrad and her husband Stephen of Gloucester. Cherished grandmother of Eric Conrad and his wife Lauren of Hamilton, Scott Lawson and his wife Emily of Ipswich, Adriane Lepore and her husband Conor O’Brien of Boston and Roxanne Lepore of Washington, D.C. Caring sister of James Conti of Everett, Robert Conti and his wife Lillian of Revere and the late Joseph Conti. Former mother-in-law of Cheryl Kapec of Va.

Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Friday, Nov. 2 from 4-7 p.m. Procession from the Gately Funeral Home on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 8:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Church of the Incarnation, 425 Upham St., Melrose at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.
