MELROSE — Pauline “Polly” Porter, 93, a longtime Melrose resident, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Chelmsford.

Pauline was born in Melrose, one of five children of the late William and Lillian (Ricker) Porter. She was raised in Melrose where she graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1943. Polly worked in banking as a bookkeeper for many years. A resident of Melrose for over 90 years, she was a longtime member of Trinity Episcopal Church.

Polly was the sister of the late W. Damon Porter, Jr., Robert Porter, Beverly Cole, and Donald Porter. She is survived by seven nieces and nephews, and many grandnieces and grandnephews.

In honor of Pauline’s life, relatives and friends were invited to gather for her graveside service at Wyoming Cemetery, 205 Sylvan St., Melrose on Thursday, Dec. 27. For online tribute, or directions visit RobinsonFuneralHome.com
