A member of the Elks Foundation and loved the great outdoors

MELROSE — Robert Joseph “Bob” St. Clair, of Melrose, passed away at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on August 2, 2022, at the age of 72.

Bob was born in Melrose, which is where he lived most of his childhood and adult life. As a young adult you would have found Bob on a softball field or on a bowling league, always a major contributor to both sports. Later in life Bob became an avid golfer and would golf in all the yearly Elks tournaments.

All who knew Bob can attest to his love of the great outdoors which included hunting at his Grafton, N.H. camp, vacationing at his Lake Winnipesaukee camp, fishing on the local ponds or just staying quiet and enjoying the gifts that nature had to offer; even if it was just from the back deck of his Melrose home. As a long time member of the Elks Foundation, Bob would most days spend a few hours with his fellow Elk members, enjoying the group conversations, functions, and dancing the night away with his beloved wife Jeanne. Bob will be remembered mostly for his devotion and kindness to those he loved and respected, and will be truly missed by all.

Bob was the beloved husband of Jeanne M. St. Clair. Stepfather of Christopher Berry of Everett. Caring brother of Denise St. Clair of Melrose, David St. Clair of Wakefield and the late Gary St. Clair. Step grandfather of Shayla Berry of Saugus. Nephew of Estelle St. Clair of California. Brother-in-law of Kathleen Brown of MI, Patricia Byrne, Gail Rago, both of Brockton and George Perry of Sterling. Also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
