MELROSE — Mrs. Rosemary U. (Norton) McIntire, 90, a longtime resident of Melrose, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 7, 2018, at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital.

Rosemary was born in Medford on December 29, 1927, the daughter of the late James W. and Helen F. (Healey) Norton. Raised in Medford, Rosemary graduated from St. Clement’s High School. She attended Mount St. Mary College in Hooksett, N.H.

Rosemary was the beloved wife of the late John G. McIntire with whom she shared 50 years of marriage. Devoted mother of Maryanne Champi of Essex, Christopher E. McIntire of Melrose, James W. McIntire of Bedford, and the late John G. “Jay” McIntire, Jr. Also survived by three grandchildren.
