Enjoyed traveling to the Caribbean

LAWRENCE — Anne Marie Shaw, 49, of Lawrence, formerly of Melrose, died unexpectedly on May 1, 2018. Anne Marie was born in Marlboro, raised in Melrose and a graduate of Northeast Regional Vocational High School, Class of 1986.

Anne Marie worked as a Medical Assistant at the Mass. General Hospital for several years and as a Melrose Auxiliary Crossing Guard for 10 years. She enjoyed the beach, traveling to the Caribbean and the Bahamas. Anne Marie loved all animals, pug dogs, huskies and pit bulls. She liked hiking the trails in Waltham and her family was the most important part of her life.

Anne Marie was the loving mother of Lindsay Molbeck of Lawrence and the late Paul Molbeck, Jr. Former spouse of Paul Molbeck, Sr. of Lawrence. Devoted daughter of the late David and Carol (Reddington) Shaw. Caring sister of David M. Shaw, Jr., of Seabrook, N.H. and John S. Shaw and his wife Teresa of Dracut. Also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Saturday, May 12 from 10 a.m. – 12 noon, followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 12 noon.
