MELROSE — It is with deepest sorrow we announce that Stephen Edward Zinck, age 48, our beloved husband, son, brother, family member and dearest friend passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Boston Medical Center.

Stephen will be missed everyday as he had a deep love for his family and friends. His infectious smile with his perfect teeth as well as his laugh is forever embedded in all of our memories.

Stephen was the happiest when he was surrounded by family and friends. He learned at an early age how to control a card game, gamble, drive a boat and shop for a sale. He was an avid sports enthusiast and led many fantasy draft pools. One of his greatest joys were his niece and nephew as they pivoted between fashion, pop culture and sports.

Stephen was a graduate of Malden Catholic High School and Bryant University. He was a Vice President at State Street Bank and led all event planning with his friends. He was a shining bright light, full of life, laughter, and love. Please remember him that way and he will bring you luck!

Stephen’s family was everything to him. He was the husband of Abner Malaret of Revere, the loving son of Marguerite (Bobbi) and Edward Zinck of Revere, only brother of Sandy and Steve Goldstein of Hopedale, devoted uncle to Bryan and Taylor Goldstein of Hopedale, cherished nephew of Kathleen Lacasse and the late Gerry Lacasse and Mary Ellen and John Salines. He was a favorite cousin to many. He was the kind son in law to Carmen Estremara of Mission Hill and sister in law of Elizabeth Malaret of Revere. He leaves behind a group of friends that will be forever changed and had an incredible bond with his sidekick Ralli Campolillo.

The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gately Funeral home at 79 W Foster Street Melrose, Mass. Family and friends were invited to visitation at the funeral home from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday September 3, 2021. A funeral mass was held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 4 at St Mary’s of Annunciation Parish, 9 Herbert Street, Melrose Mass.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Grace Zinck Memorial Scholarship at https://mhsfund.org/donate.html would be greatly appreciated. To send a message of condolence please visit www.gatelyfh.com.
