MALDEN — Vincent J. Pennachio Jr., 76, of Malden, passed away on October 19, 2018.

Vinnie was born in Cambridge on December 4, 1941 to the late Vincent J. Sr. and Margaret (Marchese) Pennachio. He was raised in Somerville and graduated from Somerville High School. Vinnie married the love of his life, the late Lois (MacFadgen) Pennachio in Somerville on September 15, 1963.  

Vinnie was a great man who was loved by many people; he was known by many other names but he was most proud to be called Papa. Throughout his life he worked as a truck driver, barber, janitor, electrician, carpenter and as a biomed tech. In his spare time he enjoyed riding his motorcycle with friends and passionately rooting for Boston sports teams with his dog Betty. He also enjoyed dinners with his friends the “Golden Girls.” Most importantly, Vinnie was a family man and was most happy with his family, especially his granddaughter Isabelle.  

Vinnie was the beloved husband of the late Lois (MacFadgen) Pennachio. Loving father of Vincent Pennachio III and his wife Cindy of Malden, and Jeff Pennachio and his wife Jenn of Everett. Proud grandfather of Isabelle. Caring brother of Terry Dellagrotte and her husband Ron of Tewksbury, and Ann Scioli and her husband Frank of Stoneham. Brother-in-law to the late Edie and Bill Daly, the late Fred MacFadgen and his wife Mary, Penny Salines and her late husband Bob, Gene MacFadgen and Cherly Webber, Walter MacFadgen and his wife Joanie, and Bob MacFadgenand his wife Debby. Vinny is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nephews and Godchildren.  

Visiting hours were held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose, on Tues., Oct. 23. A funeral Service was held at the Gately Funeral Home on Wed., Oct., 24. Relatives and friends were respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.
