PHOTO: Sounds of the Season

THE DECEMBER 16 “Happy Holly Days” concert by Ladies First and Friends was a fun-filled review of holiday favorites and less well known gems. The hour flew by as the audience enjoyed great solo and ensemble singing and choreography. Ladies First is Christine Corbett, Jane Corrigan, Jean Dancewicz and Carolina Lanney, joined by Brendan Carroll and Tom Risser. Musical Director was Barbara Morash. The next Beethoven Society concert is Feb 17 with Dorothy Travis and Alice Dusenberry. These free concerts are held the third Sunday of the month at Melrose Highlands Congregational Church at 3 p.m. The concerts are supported in part by grants from the Melrose Messina Fund for the Arts and the Melrose Cultural Council.
