Mildred-Curran-obit-webWAKEFIELD — Mildred R. (Tusini) Pye Curran of Wakefield passed away at home on Sunday, Nov. 1, surrounded by her family.

She was born on April 13, 1916 in Worcester, the daughter of the late Alphonso and Rose (Guida) Tusini. She was the loving wife of John O. Curran, and the late Wilson H. Pye. She was the beloved mother of Joyce Kashgegian of Malden, Louise Bryan Dugas and her husband Norman of Strafford, N.H. and Wilson H. Pye,Jr. and his partner Maureen White of Reading. She was the stepmother to John O. Curran Jr. of Stoneham and Patricia E. Barton of England. She was the cherished grandmother of David Sanford and his wife Carol of Billerica, Diane Sanford of Melrose, Linda Bresnahan and her husband John of Wilmington and Jason Bryan and his wife Brenda of Lowell. She was the loving great-grandmother of Justen Laffey, Morgan, Dylan and Shaylan Bresnahan, Jake Bryan and the late Darien Castro-Sanford. She was the sister of Alberta Francini of Randolph and the late Alphonse Tusini, Frank Tusini and Ann Patriquin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation took place on Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 West Foster St., Melrose, followed by a noon funeral service at the Gately Funeral Home. Interment at Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
