LYNNFIELD — LHS rising senior Molly Malone, 17, was featured on the 16th annual WEEI/Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon Tuesday morning, the Villager learned at press time.
Malone was invited to share her story of survival after overcoming a cancer diagnosis of Ewing sarcoma during her sophomore year of high school when she was 15. She is now 11 months cancer-free.
The segment aired on both WEEI radio and NESN TV at 8:20 a.m. on Tuesday.
Her mom, Nukhet Malone, posted a note about the event on the Molly’s Fight Facebook page to urge the community to tune in.
“Over the past 15 years, this event has raised more than $45 million for research and care at Dana-Farber. We are honored to be a part of it!” Nukhet wrote. #mollysfight #jimmyfund.
