Lifelong resident of North Reading

NORTH READING — Nancy M. (Croswell) Florence, 83, of North Reading, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert E. Florence.
Born in North Reading on Oct. 25, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Ralph E. Sr. and Bessie (Cook) Croswell. Nancy was a lifelong resident of North Reading. She attended North Reading Public Schools and was a graduate of Reading High School.
Nancy was a Quality Control Inspector for over 35 years, she worked for Sweetheart Plastics and then for SOLO Cup. She was a devoted loving mother and grandmother. She was known for being a dedicated worker and for her great sense of humor.
Family members include her loving children, Jeffery Florence and his wife Chrissy of Palmer; Nancy Lundgren and her husband Richard of Andover, Trisha Noonan and her husband Doug of Fredrick, Md., Marie DeLisle and her husband Steve of North Reading, Sandra Florence of Middleton, Heidi McMinn and her husband Mike of Holden, Holly DeLisle of Tewksbury, Laurie Morse of Salem, N.H., Lynnann Florence of Canaan, Maine, Lynda Florence of North Reading and Wendy Florence of Lawrence; her daughter–in–law, Doreen Berridge of Methuen; she was the loving grandmother of 23 grandchildren and 20 great–grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Donald Berridge, Robert Michael Florence and Stephen Florence and sister of the late Ralph E. Croswell Jr. and George T. Croswell.
Her funeral services will be private and are under the direction of the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow St., North Reading.
