READING — Two North Reading students, Maddie D’Angelo and Taylor Boutwell, recently played the lead role of Clara in Austin Prep’s annual Christmas season performance of “The Nutcracker.”
D’Angelo, who is a sophomore, fulfilled the role in the December 16 performance, while Boutwell, a seventh-grader, played Clara in the December 17 performance.
Additionally, seven other North Reading students had various roles in the beloved production. They are Charlotte Aldrich, Margaux Fleming, Isabella Fountain, Emma Little, Kyla Oostman, Maeve Oostman and Sophia Scott.
The popular Austin Prep performance of “The Nutcracker” dates back over 30 years and performances are held at the Collins Center for the Arts in Andover.
