PEABODY — Noel J. Foster, 95, of Peabody died at his home on Saturday, Aug. 13.
Born in Boston, May 5, 1921, he was the son of the late Noel C. and Annie (Dias) Foster.
Noel was a graduate of Arlington High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and Korea. He was retired from Sylvania in Waltham as a purchasing agent.
Noel was a member of the Wakefield Elks and St. Adelaide Parish in Peabody.
Noel was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (Bulger) Foster. He was the loving father of Susan Foster of Wakefield, Gail Cullen and her husband John of Stoneham and Paula Foster of Peabody. He was the brother of the late Lucy Keefe and Eleanor Foster. Noel was the grandfather of Kristen, Lauren, Mathew and Elissa. He is also survived by his three nephews, Richard, Paul and John Keefe.
His funeral will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Adelaide Church, 708 Lowell St., Peabody at 10:30 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. Interment, Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
