NORTH READING — The Robert Hunt Memorial Alumni baseball game is celebrating its 45th consecutive year on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29 at North Reading High School’s Carey Park baseball field.

Starting time is 10 a.m. and all proceeds will go to the Hunt Scholarship Fund, which is bestowed upon a senior NRHS baseball player who exemplifies high character.

This year’s alumni game is celebrating what many consider the longest held baseball alumni game in Massachusetts’ history. In celebration, the North Reading Diamond Club is providing free hot dogs, water and candies to all spectators.

Alumni scheduled to play include: Steve Capezzuto ’89, Chris Hayter ’03, Derek Reilly ’18, Tom Day ’14, Mike Vittozzi, ’21, John Day ’18, Chris Hanson ’91, Frank Cassarino ’21, Bob Donahue ’17, Nick Doucette ’22, and many other stars from yesteryears! The two teams will be coached by coach Marco Vittozzi and varsity baseball coach Eric Archambault. It is expected to be a fun-filled family day!
