NORTH READING — Fire Chief Don Stats announces the promotion of firefighter Brian Nash to captain.

Nash was promoted to captain on Friday, April 26 at a swearing in ceremony held at Town Hall and conducted by Town Clerk Susan Duplin. He began his duties as captain of Group 4 on Saturday, April 27.

Nash joined the North Reading Fire Department on July 1, 2010. He has been a dedicated member of the department for 14 years, most recently serving as a firefighter in Group 4.

Nash’s father, retired Fire Capt. Rick Nash, was a member of the North Reading Fire Department for 44 years. He retired in 2018.

“Congratulations to Capt. Nash on this well-deserved promotion,” said Chief Stats. “I would like to thank Capt. Nash for his 14 years of dedicated service to the community. I look forward to seeing him succeed in his new position and I am excited to see what he accomplishes.”
