“She had a fantastic year,” stated Hornets head coach Matt Costello. “She had a great year as a sophomore but was able to go up a level this year. Her biggest improvement was her draw controls.”

DiNapoli made the CAL Second-Team All-Stars as it was her first All-Star appearance. The junior midfielder/goalie had 18 goals and five assists for 23 points. She had 18 draw controls, 33 ground balls and caused 31 turnovers.

In the nine games she played goalie, she made 52 saves as she recorded four wins.

DiNapoli was the team’s leader in ground balls.

“She is a team-first jack of all trades,” pointed out Costello. “She is athletic enough that she can play any position and she is also very coachable.”

The Hornets finished 11-10 overall as they lost, 12-8, at Pembroke in the MIAA Division 3 Round of 32 state tournament last week.

North Reading ended up at 3-9 in the Cape Ann League as they finished in 4th place in the CAL Kinney Division.
