IPSWICH — Senior captain Juliette Nadeau’s terrific two-goal and two-assist performance carried the Hornets to their impressive 4-1 road victory over the Ipswich Tigers on September 18. Fellow senior captain Karlie Vesey had a goal and an assist and senior Jerlin Kaithamattam added a goal.

North Reading rolled through the first half and blitzed the Tigers with three goals. Ipswich did manage to score once in the first and NRHS led 3-1 at the halftime whistle. The Hornets clamped down on defense in the second half. They held Ipswich off the scoreboard and NRHS added another goal to lock down the 4-1 victory.

Tie Triton 1-1

The Lady Hornets travelled up to Newbury for a Friday night road tilt and tied the Triton Vikings 1-1. Junior Mia DeNofrio scored North Reading’s lone goal, the first of her varsity career.

It was a defensive struggle in the first half. Neither team scored and the game remained scoreless at the half. There was a little more offense in the second half as both teams scored. The game would end at 1-1.
