NORTH READING — The spring sports season officially kicked off with tryouts for most teams at North Reading High on Monday. The eight Hornet spring squads will continue tryouts and practice throughout the week before moving into scrimmages this weekend and next week. The regular season will begin the following week, April 1.
North Reading’s eight sports offered in the spring are baseball, softball, boys’ lacrosse, girls’ lacrosse, boys’ track, girls’ track, boys’ tennis and girls’ tennis.
Back to lead the Hornets this season are head coaches Eric Archambault (baseball), Nicole Zimmerman (softball), Ryan Spinney (boys’ track), Sotirios Pintzopoulos (girls’ track), Mark Bisognano (boys’ tennis), Matt Tiberii (girls’ tennis) and Matt Costello (girls’ lacrosse).
