NORTH READING —  The Horseshoe Grille is hosting a fundraiser tonight to benefit the Mighty Meredith Project. A percentage of the proceeds from sales made between 6-9 p.m. will benefit the local nonprofit founded by North Reading teenager Meredith Casey.

The MMP strives to raise awareness of Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) and to support hospitalized children and their families during their stays at Tufts Floating Hospital for Children or Boston Children’s Hospital. The organization also encourages everyone to be mighty kind to others as no one truly knows the struggles that someone may be experiencing, especially with invisible ailments such as TBI and concussion.

The Horseshoe also serves as a drop-off location for MMP’s Fill The Box campaign so don’t forget to drop off a toy, book or any item that would bring comfort and joy to a child hospitalized during the holidays whether dining in or ordering take-out. Meredith has set a goal to donate $25,000 worth of toys and gift cards to children during this year’s Fill The Box drive.
