Due to the threat of thunderstorms, high wind possibilities and a high heat index, Parks & Rec’s BBQ originally scheduled for Wednesday, July 31 has been rescheduled to Thursday, August 1. Thursday’s weather is expected to be much more comfortable! Come join us for a fun evening.
The children’s program, Puppets by Rick, starts at 5:15 p.m. (formerly, Magic by George had been scheduled). Enjoy the classic rock tunes by Cool Change starting at 6:15 p.m. The entertainment is provided courtesy of various sponsors each week.
As always, a full a la carte menu of BBQ fare cooked to order will be available. Bring a blanket, lawn chair and a picnic supper. A $3 per car fee is charged to benefit the upkeep of Ipswich River Park. All the walking paths in the park were repaved earlier this month, providing a smooth surface for all ages to enjoy.
