NORTH READING — Weekly old-fashioned family-oriented fun continues at Parks & Recreation’s Summer BBQ and Entertainment Series next Wednesday, July 20 at Ipswich River Park from 5 p.m. to dusk.

The third event in the summer series opens with an amazing YoYo Show for the children’s entertainment at 5:15 p.m., exclusively sponsored by Reading Cooperative Bank.

Starting at 6 p.m., enjoy the classic rock music performed by the band RipChord sponsored by Classified Realty Group.

Admission is free thanks to the generous sponsorship of Hopothecary Ales which enables Parks and Rec to waive the $3 per carload fee for everyone.

Bring your comfy chairs and blankets and a picnic supper or enjoy the freshly cooked al la carte BBQ fare and ice cream available for sale.

Opportunities abound for local teens to earn community service hours by volunteering to assist at the BBQ. Contact Parks & Rec to sign up or for more information northreadingma.gov/parks-recreation or by calling 978-664-6016.

The rain date is Thursday, July 21.
