Ligor named Runner of the Meet
BOSTON — On Saturday, Jan. 8, the NRHS girls’ track and field team sent their best to the Reggie Lewis Center to compete in the annual Red Auerbach Freshman-Sophomore Championship.
These meets gather the best 9th and 10th graders in the state and divides them into two separate meets. Divisions 1 and 2 compete in the large school division and Divisions 3, 4 and 5 compete in the small school division. As North Reading High School is in Division 4 they competed in the small school division.
The team did not disappoint as freshman Giuliana Ligor was named Runner of the Meet as she won the 600 Meters in 1:47.60 out of the unseeded heat and anchored her 4×400 meter relay team with a 64 second split moving the team up from 5th place to 2nd place.
