NORTH READING — Curbside collection of yard waste, including grass clippings, leaves and small branches will take place this Saturday, April 6 and again on Saturday, May 4.

Yard waste must be placed curbside by 6:30 a.m.

  • Plastic bags and barrels are not allowed.
  • Branches must be no greater than 3 inches in diameter and cut to lengths of no longer than 3 feet. Branches must also be bundled and tied (not bagged).

As always, the yard waste pile at the Richard F. Spindler DPW Garage, 166 Chestnut St., is open seasonally to allow residents to drop off yard waste on Saturdays from April to November 30 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Additionally, residents may drop off waste oil at the DPW Garage on the last Saturday of every month from April to November between the hours of 8 a.m. and noon.
