NORTH READING — St. Theresa Parish will hold a golf tournament to benefit the Youth Ministry on Monday, September 24 at the Hillview Country Club. Registration begins at 8 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 9 a.m.

Laura Bowers is the new Director of the Youth Ministry.

Bishop Mark O’Connell, Pastor of St. Theresa’s, commented, “Here at St. Theresa Parish we have over 170 freshman and sophomore students in our Confirmation program and many more Middle School students, yet last year we had few activities to attract them after religion classes.  This year we have invested in a new Youth Minister and we hope to have events each month which will include opportunities of service, fun, and sharing our faith.

“The proceeds from the golf tournament will go directly toward supporting this and, in so doing, reaching out to our youth.”

The cost is $150 per golfer.  Each golfer will receive a tournament gift, goodie bag, free entry into the Par 3 Contest, lunch, and prizes. There is a hole-in-one contest on all par threes.
