The two-part season previews for the North Reading High School 2018 fall sports season will appear in the Transcript’s sports section next week, Sept. 13 and the following week, Sept. 20. The Hornets kick off the regular season this week.
On Wednesday, the boys’ and girls’ soccer teams opened up against rival Lynnfield, after press time. The boys’ and girls’ cross country teams also started their seasons Wednesday as did the golf team and volleyball team.
The North Reading field hockey team hosts Lynnfield on Thursday and the football team hosts Northeast Metro Tech on Friday at 7 p.m.
