NORTH READING — Anthony C. “Tony” Terrizzi, 68, of North Reading passed away on August 1, 2020.
He was the beloved husband of Geraldine “Gerry” (Matt) Terrizzi and the loving father of Jennifer Terrizzi and her partner Andrew Lanneville of Quincy and Marissa Ninni and her husband Brian of Woburn. He was the brother of Angelo and his wife Marianne Terrizzi of Florida and Maria Terrizzi of Waltham. Tony is also survived by his dear buddy, Vinny the Beagle. He was the son of the late Peter and Fortunata Terrizzi and the brother-in-law of Jean and Anthony Ippolitio. Tony is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Born on October 1, 1950, Tony retired from Citizens Bank in North Reading after serving over 15 years as Branch Manager. He was a youth soccer coach in North Reading, Eucharistic Minister at St. Theresa’s Church, and one of the founders of Dollars for Scholars in North Reading. He will always be remembered for his smile, quick wit and being a practical joker.
Tony loved his family more than anything, especially his buddy Vinny the Beagle. He enjoyed family vacations to Disney or any place he could find a pina colada on the beach. Saturday lunch dates with his daughters at McDonald’s when they were young were always his favorite days. Tony loved to golf, play video games and was a member of the Pine Glen World Poker Tour with his pals for over 30 years.
Tony’s funeral Mass will be privately held at St. Theresa’s Church in North Reading on Saturday, August 8 and may be viewed at 10:30 a.m. at https://www.sttheresanreading.org/livestream-video.html.
Visiting hours will be held at the Cota Funeral Home on Friday, August 7 from 4-8 p.m. Interment private. Due to COVID-19 restrictions the funeral home can allow only 50 people at one time. Face coverings are mandatory and must be worn at all times. Staff will be on hand to assist with more restrictions.
