Winchester native loved wildlife, nature and aquarium fish

SOMERVILLE — Barry R. McQuillin, 55, of Somerville, formerly of Winchester, passed away on September 12, 2017.

Born and raised in Winchester, Barry was the son of the late Richard J. “Dick” and Mary F. (Murtha) McQuillin.

Barry was educated in Winchester public schools and was a 1979 graduate of Winchester High School, where he excelled at soccer.

Mr. McQuillin was a graduate of Emerson College. In his spare time, Barry enjoyed trips to Rockport. He also loved aquarium fish, nature and wildlife.

He was the brother of twin Brian R. McQuillin and his wife Nancy of North Reading, Stewart A. Foss and his late wife Renie of Somerville and the late Stephen D. Foss. Barry is further survived by his loving nieces and nephews, Kelley, Molly and Riley McQuillin.

His funeral service was held at the Parish of the Epiphany, 70 Church St., Winchester, on Saturday, September 16. Burial was private.
