Served with Navy during Vietnam War; owner of Lakeview Orchard

NORTH READING — David W. Lundquist, 87, of North Reading, formerly of Woburn, died on Monday, March 21, 2022, at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading.

Born in Lowell on September 22, 1934, he was the son of the late Victor and Dorothy (Olson) Lundquist.

Mr. Lundquist was a graduate of Woburn High School, class of 1952, and the Stockbridge School of Agriculture at the University of Massachusetts. He had been a resident of North Reading since 1980. Mr. Lundquist served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was the owner and operator of Lakeview Orchard in Sanford, Maine, and had also worked for Cummings Properties in Woburn.

Mr. Lundquist is survived by his wife, Jeannette “Lee” (Carey) Lundquist; his four children, Mark and Beth Lundquist of Reading; Ken and Kim Lundquist of Bow, N.H.; Dana and Holly Lundquist of Sanford, Maine; and Jane and Tim Hilpert of Billerica; and his sister, Nancy Nelson of Woburn. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren and his 17 great-grandchildren. Mr. Lundquist was predeceased by his brother, Richard Lundquist, and his sister, Marjorie Winchell.

A memorial service will be held at the Church of the Open Bible, 3 Winn St., Burlington, on Tuesday, April 5 at 2 p.m.
