Mechanic, successful entrepreneur

NORTH READING — Dominic C. Intravaia, 85, of North Reading, passed away peacefully surrounded by his daughters on April 6, 2021.

Dominic was born in the West End of Boston on August 2, 1935. He was the son of Giovanni and Leonarda (DeGrande) Intravaia. He was a devoted husband to his wife Barbara and a loving father to his four girls. He was a mechanic by trade and an entrepreneur who enjoyed the success of many different business ventures. Dominic proudly served his country in the Armed Forces of the United States from 1957-1959.

Dominic was the beloved husband of the late Barbara Ann (Dascoli) Intravaia. He was the devoted father of Lenore Gravallese and her husband Anthony of North Reading, Lisa Intravaia of Nevada, Barbara Ann Intravaia Filosa and her late husband Jamie Filosa of Reading, and Andrea McNamara and her husband Richard Trembowicz of Wakefield.

Dominic was the dear brother of the late Salvatore Intravaia, Carmelo Intravaia, Santina Diblasi, Mary Tringali and Eleanora Noe. He was the loving grandfather of Dominque Distelbrink and her husband Martin, Gina Carapellucci and her husband Matthew, Anthony Gravallese III, Kayla Trauner and her husband Brandon, Ricky McNamara III, Alicia McNamara, and James Filosa and the cherished great-grandfather to Lorenzo Carapellucci. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Dominic also leaves the loving companionship of Annie Boudrow.

Dominic had a vibrant personality that left an impression on anyone who knew him. He will be greatly missed. His reply to us when we told him we loved him was always, “Love you more.”

His funeral Mass was held at St. Theresa Church, North Reading on Tuesday morning, April 13. Visiting hours at the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park Street, North Reading, were held on Monday.
