Loved spending time with family, knitting and reading

MERRIMAC — Marjorie A. (Chisholm) “Margie” Lupien of Merrimac, Mass., formerly of Malden, Wakefield, and Windham, N.H., passed away peacefully on December 15, 2021.

Born on January 9, 1941, she was the loving daughter of the late Earl and Anne (Ryan) Chisholm.

The loving wife of the late James W. Lupien, she was the devoted mother of Marianne Baker and her husband, Keith, of Danvers; James Lupien and his wife, Kathy, of Manchester, N.H.; Michelle Perry and her husband, Al, of Plaistow, N.H.; Andrew Lupien and his wife, Charlene, of Wakefield; and Peter Lupien and his wife, Jeni, of North Reading. She was the cherished grandmother of Jackie Wegman, Michayla Hernden, Kevin Perry, Alex Baker, Peter Lupien, Matthew Perry, Jimmy Lupien, Kirstin Perry, Andrew Lupien, Samantha Lupien, John Lupien, Alex Lupien, Quinn Lupien, Corey Baker, and the late Casey Baker.

Margie was the dear sister of Carol Chisholm of Pompano Beach, Florida. She also leaves her sisters-in-law Adele Lee and Barbara Lupien, Aunt Ginny Ryan and Uncle Leo Ryan, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Margie attended Cheverus Catholic School in Malden, graduating in 1958. She was involved in her children’s activities and sports in Wakefield, including the St. Joseph CCD Program, Cub Scouts, and the Board of Directors of Canterbury School. She loved spending time with her family, especially all the holidays, and wintering in Pompano Beach, Florida. She always enjoyed her hobbies of knitting and reading.

Visitation for relatives and friends was held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield, on Sunday, December 19. Her funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion Street, Wakefield. Interment was at Lakeside Cemetery, North Avenue, Wakefield.
