CROWNED KING AND QUEEN of the Real Senior Prom and treated like royalty were local seniors Al Heard and Rose Howard. The second annual event was attended by 215 seniors at the beautifully decorated Ultra Chic at the Hillview on Sept. 18. Created and organized by Peter Accolla and Laina Simone, with support from the Friends of the NR Council on Aging, staff at the Edith O’Leary Senior Center, and many volunteers, residents and local businesses, the town’s seniors enjoyed a night of fine dining, dancing and socializing free of charge.
