WINNERS in the town’s apple pie baking contest were chosen by members of the local clergy at the Historical Society’s 24th annual Apple Festival at the Putnam House. Winners included, from left, Ed Parish (3rd place) and Laura Bowers (2nd place), shown with Bishop Mark O’Connell and past winners Maggie Stein and Denise Miedico, who both help run the competition.
