NORTH READING — The NRHS swim team finished their season strong with six athletes advancing to sectionals and then also qualifying for states. The three relay teams making it to sectionals held at Wellesley College included the 400 yard freestyle relay comprised of Nicole Gallant, Kimberly Bockley, Julia Meile and Anna Jones; the 200 yard medley relay made up of Nicole Gallant, Kimberly Bockley, Nicole Shedd and Anna Jones, and the 200 yard freestyle relay comprised of Nicole Gallant, Kimberly Bockley, Anna Jones and Nicole Shedd.
The 200 yard relay team came in 14th at sectionals and qualified for states which was held at MIT. In addition to relay teams, Nicole Shedd qualified for sectionals and states in the 50 yard freestyle and 200 yard freestyle individual events. Andrew Shedd qualified for states and sectionals in the 500 yard freestyle and the 200 yard freestyle individual events.
