Grandfather of two

FALMOUTH — Owen Short, 89, of Falmouth, formerly of Lady Lake, Fla. and Delta County, Mich., died on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015. His wife was the late Ethel (Stenlund) Short. He leaves behind his two sons, Douglas and Joan Short of North Reading and Jeff Short and Bethany Pierpont of Chicago, Ill.
He also leaves two grandchildren, Harrison Short and Elizabeth Short. There will be a memorial service in his hometown of Rapid River, Mich. on Sept. 26, 2015. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in Owen’s memory to Tri-County Safe Harbor, Inc., 905 1st Ave. So., Escanaba MI 49829.
