Clerk in US Federal Bankruptcy Court
NORTH READING — Pamela K. Nener, 72, of North Reading, formerly of Malden and Somerville, died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, after a long illness.
Born in Somerville on Sept. 13, 1942, she was the daughter of the late John J. R. Nener and Katherine E. (Flagg) Ford. She was a graduate of Somerville High School, Class of 1960.
Pam worked as a Docket Clerk at the U.S. Federal Bankruptcy Court in Boston. She retired in 2010, after 20 years of service. She has been a resident of North Reading for the past 13 years.
Pam always took care of everyone in some loving way that she met throughout her life. She had tremendous faith even when most people wouldn’t, she did. Pamela battled cancer off and on for 39 years and beat it for a time. She loved being a public servant for the U.S. Government and had such pride in doing her job. She was a loving mother of five, grandmother of eight and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Family meant everything to her. Her favorite pastime was sitting and visiting with her family and friends.
Family members include her loving daughters, Darlene Nardone of Stafford Springs, Conn., Karen Brabandt and her husband Jim of San Diego, Calif., Pamela Hoff of Derry, N.H. and Justine Batchelder and her husband Douglas of North Reading; her son, John MacEachern Jr. and his wife Jacqueline of Florida; sisters, Jeanne Nener of Chelsea and Kim Nener Plante and her husband Dennis of Bedford; she was the sister of the late Jack R. and Kurt R. Nener and the cherished grandmother of eight and loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral Mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford on Friday, Oct. 10 at 10 a.m. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
