WAKEFIELD — Pansy M. Manzella, 98, a lifelong Wakefield resident, died on Saturday, Jan. 24, in Wilmington.
Born in Wakefield on April 1, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Sabatino and Maria (Grazia) Quinzio. Mrs. Manzella was a graduate of Wakefield High School. She had worked for the L.B. Evans Shoe Company of Wakefield and had also worked at Santoro’s Sub Villa of Saugus.
She had been a member of the Lynnfield Art Guild and a lifelong member of St. Florence Church and member of the Ladies Sodality of the church.
Mrs. Manzella was the beloved wife of the late Michael Manzella. She was the loving mother of Carl Manzella of Wakefield, Diane G. Paone and husband Peter of Malden. She was the sister of the late Louis and Nicholas Quinzio and Alice Lee. She is also survived by her grandchildren Peter Jr., Michael and Paul Paone.
Her funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield, at 10 a.m. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery in Stoneham. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
